Motherboards

The motherboard is the major circuit board inside the computer box. It holds all the hardware in your computer. Anything that is connected to the computer is in turn connected directly or indirectly to the motherboard.
The motherboard includes the chipset, sometimes refered so as "Glue Logic" by the smart people. Also includes some code in ROM and the various wired interconnections between the components, known as buses. They are called buses because the transport the information from one area to another..like a bus.
Well thats the basics hope u understand it. Watch out for the next post on processors

The Basics

Just though i would give an introductory brief of this blog. Basically i have made this for an Assignment for one of my classes. I am to describe the inner workings of a computer in a language that people new to computers will be able to understand. Yet keep it experiences so the people marking it will see that i myself understand some of the more complex principles. So lets starts, A computer most people relate to as the box you see beside your computer screen...have any of you ever dared to venture inside to see what was going on, No? Well one day you may have to and this should give you the knowledge to get you started. Inside the computer there are a great number of hardware pieces the most common are, Motherboard, Hard drive, processor, RAM, Graphics card (Optional) and Sound card (Optional). Some other important parts are things like power supply and heat sinks...ps don't touch the power supply without turning off the power...And always make sure to ground yourself when touching anything inside the case. Regardless of weather or not the power is off. The computer can store up electric in the computer ever after it is turned off. The shock will not kill but will hurt...ALOT!
